Major key for Milwaukee – Stay efficient

As the Bucks bask in the positive energy that comes from a 3-1 start, it’s important that they try to retain the core principles that have led them to success so far.

Of course, that means continued incredible play from Giannis Antetokounmpo would be an excellent trend to build on, but it’s important that the Bucks also maintain the high-level efficiency that’s been evident in their play through four games.

With the Bucks looking like a lock to be out-rebounded every night, it makes taking care of possession when they do have the ball even more important for Milwaukee. Averaging just 14.3 turnovers per game so far, the Bucks have been doing that, currently ranking seventh in the NBA in terms of limiting giveaways.

Equally important is taking care of the chances that do fall their way, and in spite of only being a middle of the pack three-point shooting team in the early running, the Bucks rank second only to the Warriors in terms of their overall field goal percentage (48.9 percent).

Khris Middleton‘s slow start is the obvious reason for the team’s early three-point struggles, and having hit a crucial three late against the Hornets the hope will be that he’s set to bounceback. Still, if the Bucks can find and convert on high percentage looks at the rim, while also taking care of the ball, they’ll be in an excellent position to move to 4-1 on Thursday night.
