While every team that faces the Thunder this year is going to focus their attention on the team’s trio of star names, Adams is going to have ample opportunity to be a game-changer.
That’s already been evident this year, as he’s started the season incredibly well. In the very early stages of the year, Adams is tracking at career-high numbers across the board, averaging 14.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.3 assists per game. Coupled with a low turnover rate, and 67.9 percent shooting from the field, the 24-year-old has been incredibly efficient too.
Adams is an instinctive offensive rebounder who’s perfectly primed to exploit Milwaukee’s weaknesses in that department, but the Bucks will also have to watch out for the near telepathic understanding he has built with Westbrook in the pick-and-roll.
