Hornet to watch – Dwight Howard

Building upon that previous point, Dwight Howard is undeniably the most important player for Charlotte on this occasion.

In the first meeting between these two teams, Howard had 22 rebounds including seven on the offensive end. Milwaukee’s best rebounding center on that occasion was Greg Monroe who grabbed seven boards, and without him for this return game the picture is even bleaker for the Bucks.

More from Behind the Buck Pass

Thon Maker and John Henson both got brutalized by the size and strength of Steven Adams on Tuesday, and Dwight Howard is similarly equipped to take advantage of the difference in physicality.

The Bucks’ best hope of limiting Howard is that he has another off-night, and plays a game that’s more focused on post-ups rather than cleaning up after his guards on the glass.

Alternatively, this could certainly be a game where the Bucks should consider putting Giannis Antetokounmpo at center for long stretches, surrounding him with shooters, and hoping to run Howard off the floor.

If Howard repeats one of the NBA’s all-time worst free throw shooting nights, the Bucks will be feeling good. Otherwise, Superman could be in for a colossal performance.
