Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 126-121 loss to Charlotte Hornets
A hit to the Greek mystique
In a stunning role reversal, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo who the Bucks were waiting on as he experienced the first rough performance of his campaign.
Playing nearly 32 minutes, Giannis put up 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the field (0-of-2 from deep), 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals as well as two blocks and registered three turnovers.
As there is with any performance for Giannis, there were must-see highlights, the most notable being a pair of thunderous dunks from the 22-year-old that came both in the first and third quarters.
But Giannis couldn’t fight through his foul trouble as his overall performance steadily declined, more so in the second half. Despite his struggles, Giannis’ presence on the floor only led to good things for the Bucks last night.
At this point, Giannis’ game against the Hornets stands as the only true blemish to his stunning beginning to the season and there’s no question he’ll look to reverse course the next time he takes the floor.
