The debut of Eric Bledsoe

After Bucks fans have been buzzing about his arrival for the past few days, Eric Bledsoe didn’t disappoint with his debut performance in a Bucks uniform last night.

In 28-and-a-half minutes of action, Bledsoe scored 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field (1-of-5 from deep), grabbed four rebounds, dished out seven assists, registered three turnovers and was a +10 on the night.

His performance got off to a rousing start as he hit his first two shots, the second one showing off his wheels in transition as well as a beautiful, easy finish at the basket. Along with that, Bledsoe was finding an instant connection with his teammates, the most notable one being a thunderous alley-oop to Giannis Antetokounmpo near the end of the second quarter.

Bledsoe’s effectiveness started to wane in the second half, especially shooting the ball from deep, the worst miss being an ugly airball off an easy find on the break by Khris Middleton midway through the fourth quarter.

Nonetheless, Bledsoe’s engaged defensive play remained intact all throughout the game as he put in his best effort to disrupt the Spurs’ offensive attack and bother his assignment through screens.

All in all, it was a solid debut for the 27-year-old and it certainly made matters better that it came in a win.
