Red-hot from deep

When a team is above 40 percent from three, typically that is good enough to provide themselves the edge. Unfortunately for the Memphis Grizzlies, the Bucks were even better on Monday night.

Shooting 12-of-22 the Bucks were 54.5 percent from downtown against the Grizzlies. The game continues a trend for the Bucks who are third in the league in three-point percentage, yet rank 24th in three-point attempts.

Whether you consider this a good or bad thing is dependent on your point of view. The team’s outside shooting is clearly effective and perhaps the lack of attempts is due to defensive scouting. Yet, when shooting nearly 40 percent on the season, it would be nice to see the Bucks let it fly a little more.

Since coming over to the team Bledsoe has certainly subscribed to this philosophy. Despite shooting below 15 percent since coming to the team, Bledsoe has fired-up the second most triples per game, only behind Khris Middleton.

Hopefully Snell, Brogdon, Delly, and the bunch will follow his lead. Nights like Monday are good, shooting effectively from range opens the floor, but they could be better. If the Bucks really want to make an impact behind the arc they will need to start getting up more shots.
