Player of the game

With apologies to James Young, who bounced back with a big game after being sidelined in the last two contests, last night’s player of the game honors are going to Bucks rookie Sterling Brown.

In 32 minutes of action, Brown posted 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field (3-of-6 from deep), four rebounds, three steals, three turnovers, an assist and was a +9 on the night.

Being sent on assignment by the Bucks, it was very easy to be intrigued by what the night would hold for Brown, who was essentially earning his first meaningful opportunity of the season.

Brown didn’t disappoint as he regularly attacked the basket with poise as well as finished through contact multiple times, showed an array of pull up jumpers from mid-range and was comfortable hitting shots from beyond the arc.

When asked about his performance, Herd head coach Jordan Brady gave plenty of praise for the 23-year-old’s performance last night:

We’ll see if this will become a regular thing for the SMU product as we get deeper into the season, but it was good to see him shine in his G League debut.
