An Offensive Night to Forget

The biggest problem for the Bucks might have been their lack of offensive strategy. There were too many instances when players who are better suited getting to the basket were taking jump shots early in the shot clock.

Eric Bledsoe and Giannis Antetokounmpo in particular were struggling away from the rim, with the two of them shooting 9-29 (ouch).

Overall, there was no rhythm and Milwaukee could not find a pace that suited them best. They could push the ball on one possession, and go at a snail’s pace the very next. Whether it be strategy, effort, or a combination of the two, there was no cohesion to anything the Bucks were doing on the offensive side of the ball.

The Bucks had many mismatches they could have targeted, but there was too little ball movement, as shown by the team only having 13 assists.

Compare that to the Mavericks’ 27 total assists and it’s easy to see how the Bucks lost by such a large margin.
