The Milwaukee Bucks had their four-game winning streak come to screeching halt against the Dallas Mavericks. What can be taken away from the loss?

After having two days to rest, the Milwaukee Bucks got blown out by arguably the worst team in the league.

In what most would have imagined to be an easy win for the Bucks, the Mavericks showed that they are still capable of playing NBA-caliber basketball and handed Milwaukee their worst loss of the young season.

Even from the start, the Bucks were playing sloppy, and that allowed Dallas to build a lead, which they managed to maintain for the entirety of the game. The Mavs outplayed Milwaukee in every facet of the game, even though they were clearly outmatched in terms of pure talent.

It was never really a close game, as Rick Carlisle and the Mavs had the Bucks’ number all game and continued their winning streak against the Bucks at the American Airlines Center.

No player on the Bucks roster had a positive plus/minus rating, and six players had a rating less than -15. On the flip side, the Mavericks had only one player with a negative plus/minus.

Dallas was playing with motivation and energy, as they were searching for their third win of the season. That was clearly too much for the Bucks to handle, and cost them the game.

This game should be a learning experience for the Milwaukee Bucks, so let’s get into the takeaways.
