Bench woes

With Matthew Dellavedova and Mirza Teletovic out for this game, Milwaukee’s bench got even thinner, and it proved to be a killer for the Bucks.

Given that Jason Kidd has had a tight rotation this season, only Malcolm Brogdon, Thon Maker, and DeAndre Liggins had meaningful minutes off the bench.

Those three players combined for nine points, and that was a big reason why the Bucks only scored 79 points for the game.

Not only did the bench struggle to put up points, they had difficulties stopping the Mavericks’ bench from scoring. The Mavs bench squad put up 54 points, which included J.J. Barea going off for 20 points.

In total, the bench battle ended in the Mavericks’ favor 54-13.
