Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Nov. 22 at Phoenix Suns
By Adam McGee
Major key for Phoenix – Make it a high scoring game
The Suns rank 28th in the league in defensive rating, meaning that if they’re going to win games they’re often going to have to rely on their play on the other end of the floor.
The Suns aren’t a good three-point shooting team and aren’t particularly efficiently either, so instead they rely on pushing the pace. Phoenix play at the second fastest pace in the NBA, falling just behind the Brooklyn Nets’ leading mark, and that undoubtedly spurs on their scoring output.
Jay Triano’s team are averaging 107.9 points per game, good enough for 10th in the NBA, and as such their goal is going to be to put up as many points as they can and hope they can prevail in a track meet.
Phoenix is also a top-10 team in terms of fastbreak points, and with Milwaukee being the league’s stingiest team in terms of giving up points in transition (only 5.9 per game), that should make for a decisive battle on Wednesday night.
