Wisconsin Herd triumph over Delaware 87ers, win 119-111
Concerning takeaway
Like their assist total, the Herd also set another season-high in another stat category, albeit a more troublesome one.
The Herd committed 30 personal fouls against the 87ers’ 25 fouls, a mark that was more worrisome if you consider how shorthanded they were by the end of the night. The two biggest offenders in this regard were Vitto Brown and Michael Dunigan, who both got five fouls a piece, respectively.
As a result of the Herd’s collective foul trouble, the 87ers made it to the line 36 times throughout the game, sinking 28 of the attempts from the charity stripe (conversely, the Herd were 20-of-27 from the line on the night).
It obviously wasn’t enough to torpedo the Herd’s chances on the night, but it’s safe to assume head coach Jordan Brady will want a more disciplined game from his squad from here on out.
