Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Dec. 6 vs Detroit Pistons
By Adam McGee
Major key for Milwaukee – Defend sensibly
This couldn’t be any more simple. Don’t fall into the trap (pun very much intended) of playing an over-aggressive brand of defense.
If Tobias Harris is allowed to follow in Jayson Tatum‘s footsteps and has knocked down four three-pointers in the first few minutes of this game, well then the Bucks are likely going to have a mountain to climb if they are to come back and win.
The three-point shot is the great equalizer and, at the moment, the Bucks aren’t taking or making enough of them. The result is that opposition three-pointers are hurting the Bucks more than they have done in some time.
If Milwaukee continues to blitz with abandon, not only will the Pistons have their pick of quality three-point looks if they can move the ball, but Andre Drummond will have countless openings to roll down the lane for wide open looks at the rim too.
The Bucks need to drop back and switch like they did for much of last week, and if they don’t there’s a very good chance they’ll be playing catch-up from shortly after the opening tip.
