Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Dec. 6 vs Detroit Pistons
By Adam McGee
Piston to watch – Andre Drummond
After a no-show in Boston from John Henson and Thon Maker, Andre Drummond is undoubtedly the player the Bucks will have to be most wary of on Wednesday night.
Drummond boasts the kind of size and physicality that can cause the Bucks’ thin — in every sense of the word — center rotation a whole host of problems.
The approach should be simpe for the former UConn Husky, play aggressively going toward the rim. If that doesn’t result in easy baskets, it could at least push Milwaukee’s bigs into foul trouble and force the Bucks completely out of their comfort zone.
After disappointing last season, Drummond has bounced back impressively. The 24-year-old is averaging 14.1 points and 1.3 blocks per game, along with career-high marks of 15.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.7 steals.
Those assist and steal numbers are particularly notable as they show that Drummond has now got multiple avenues in which he can influence a game, making him a better all-around player.
