Having disappointed in their previous game, the Wisconsin Herd bounced back with a dramatic win over the Oklahoma City Blue on Friday.

In spite of having led for most of Friday night’s game, when the Oklahoma City Blue found themselves holding a five-point lead with less than a minute remaining, it looked as if the Wisconsin Herd were destined for a second straight letdown at home.

An action-packed final 58 seconds that included 13 points between the two teams would tell a different story, though, as Wisconsin’s best players all came up with key plays to secure a win.

James Young made a tough, contested layup before knocking down two free throws, Xavier Munford delivered a game-changing steal and Cliff Alexander iced the game with an and-one with the clock ticking down.

Considering the game started out with an 11-0 Herd run, it proved to be much more difficult than it should have been for Jordan Brady’s team.

That was in part due to their own shortcomings, but also a result of a truly spectacular game from former Brooklyn Nets guard Markel Brown.

After losing to a very limited Delaware 87ers team, this win should prove as the perfect tonic for the Herd who remain just one game back of the Eastern Conference’s top spot.

For now, let’s take a closer look at some of the most important details from Friday’s win.
