Player of the game

Win or lose, it has become a pretty common occurrence for Xavier Munford to be the focus of this section, and this game will prove no different.

Munford was a little sluggish to start off, going 0-of-3 through the game’s first few minutes, but once he heated up in the latter stages of the first quarter, he never looked back.

Munford logged a grueling 40 minutes on Wednesday night, posting 28 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Although the 25-year-old’s shooting has cooled off ever so slightly from his incredible early-season highs, Munford is still shooting the ball really well, as demonstrated by his 11-of-21 from the field and 3-of-5 from deep.

Strangely, where Munford did struggle was at the free throw line, Munford made only three of his seven freebies on the night, but in a game that didn’t finish all that close, he certainly wasn’t to blame for his team’s defeat.
