Positive takeaway

It’s always going to be a good start when three of a team’s key starters all score over 20 points and combine for 71 points, but the Herd were put in an even better spot due to the help that was forthcoming from the bench.

Wisconsin’s four bench players contributed 36 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals, while shooting 13-of-25 from the field and 6-of-11 from deep.

After having a career night on Friday against Sioux Falls, JeQuan Lewis came on strong again. Lewis picked up 14 points and four assists while making 4-of-5 from deep.

Cameron Oliver also continued his own good form by chipping in with 12 points and six rebounds, Brian Williams worked incredibly hard on his way to six points, three rebounds and two steals, while Shannon Brown also added four points, two rebounds and a steal.

Considering Cliff Alexander missed out due to an ankle injury and Michael Dunigan continues to recover from a recent surgery, Jordan Brady couldn’t have asked for much more than this from his second unit.
