Wisconsin Herd hang on for one-point win over Erie BayHawks
By Adam McGee
Player of the game
This title could easily have gone to James Young who had an excellent game on Saturday night in Oshkosh, but it was Joel Bolomboy who set the tone early on and continued to impress with how well he has adjusted to coming back down to the Herd.
Bolomboy was active across the floor from the opening minutes, and with Cliff Alexander’s absence he acted as a particularly important anchor inside in the battle against Erie’s Raphiael Putney.
Bolomboy finished the game having racked up 21 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.
With news coming that Gary Payton II is likely to be waived with his 45 days of eligibility expiring on Monday, Bolomboy can’t be too far behind in terms of days left with the Bucks. Perhaps that’s why Milwaukee decided to send him back to the G League over the past couple of games, and his presence has certainly been helpful as the Herd picked up two wins.
