Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Dec 26 vs Chicago Bulls
By Adam McGee
Major key for Chicago – Lean on the big men
When these two teams last met on December 15, Chicago’s frontcourt caused Milwaukee endless problems.
The Bulls trio of Robin Lopez, Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis combined for 67 points and 28 rebounds on 27-of-46 (58.6 percent) from the field.
It’s not necessarily that any one of Chicago’s big men is so talented that they naturally overwhelm John Henson or Thon Maker, instead it’s the depth and range of options the Bulls boast in comparison to Milwaukee that makes the difference.
John Henson has been playing extremely well of late, but if the Bulls can find a way to get him in early foul trouble, the game will open up for them.
Thon Maker’s lack of strength and discipline is always at risk of being exposed inside, while if Giannis Antetokounmpo is fit enough to return for this game, Jason Kidd likely won’t be over eager to test out his injured knee by guarding centers for the bulk of the game.
