Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 115-106 loss to Chicago Bulls
By Adam McGee
No answer for Mirotic
After scoring 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the game between these two teams just 11 days earlier, Nikola Mirotic was again allowed to go off for a big night against the Bucks.
The 26-year-old scored 24 points on this occasion, again grabbed eight rebounds, and did his scoring on an efficient 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-8 from deep.
Shooting forwards seem to cause the Bucks a whole host of problems, and that trend persisted in this game as Mirotic was allowed to get plenty of high quality looks out on the perimeter.
Ever since his days in Europe, Mirotic has had a reputation for being highly skilled, yet it hasn’t always translated to his play and production at the NBA level. The Bucks allowed him to put the ball on the floor, get any shots he wanted, and therefore look about as close to living up to his potential as he has done for a long time.
