Major key for Toronto – Get everyone involved

Much of the key to Toronto’s success so far this season has come from countering some of the issues that arose during their playoff struggles last year.

The team’s stars haven’t changed, but how the Raptors use DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry is very different.

Toronto now trusts in an ever improving second unit, which has mostly been constructed over a number of years in the draft.

The result is that the ball is now moving much more freely in Toronto, and that even includes DeRozan and Lowry turning down shots to make the extra pass when the right situation presents itself.

Having averaged just 18.5 assists per game last season, Dwane Casey’s team are now up to 22.8 assists per game this year. The Raptors are more willing than ever to allow every player on their roster contribute to their success, meaning the Bucks will have to be awake to all the various threats they pose.
