We were ready for this Delly

For the second consecutive game, Matthew Dellavedova provided a stable presence for the Bucks last night whenever he saw the floor. In nearly 29 minutes of action, Delly posted six points on 2-of-5 shooting from the field (2-of-4 from long range), 10 assists, five rebounds, registered one turnover and was a +5 on the night.

As was the case during their matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder over the weekend, Delly was regularly connecting with his teammates all game long and has had just a lone turnover to his name over the last two games.

That type of influence Delly had on the Bucks and the game as a whole played a large part in head coach Jason Kidd opting to ride with the 27-year-old Aussie for crunch-time minutes in the fourth quarter in a guard-heavy lineup with Giannis leading the charge at the 5-spot.

It’s that type of assuredness that Delly has with the ball in his hands, which he has exhibited all throughout his time in Milwaukee through warts and all, that has helped the Bucks have the fourth-lowest turnover percentage so far this year, per NBA.com/stats.

That surely counts for something and for as much as his foibles and mistakes can stand out like a sore thumb live, there shouldn’t be any debate to whether Dellavedova provides some value to this Bucks team while he’s on the court.
