Raptor to watch – DeMar DeRozan

As much as someone like OG Anunoby was incredibly impressive with his defense in Monday’s game between these two teams, it would be disingenuous to go with his one point over DeRozan’s 52 points.

DeRozan has had his share of struggles against the Bucks at times in the past, but he clicked into gear to close out last year’s playoff series between these two teams, and equaling the franchise single game scoring record in their last meeting, will mean that all eyes will again be trailed on him.

One interesting wrinkle to watch out for will be the role of Tony Snell. In Monday’s overtime game, Snell played just 18 minutes, in large part due to some offensive struggles. That was particularly notable as under normal circumstances, he’d be the Buck who’d spend most of the game assigned on an elite scoring wing like DeRozan.

Milwaukee certainly has options for who they can throw at DeRozan, but the question is whether they’ll even matter if he can get in a groove early on.
