Our glass

In previous meetings with the Wizards, the Bucks’ long-time Achilles’ heel would always manage to rear its ugly head as the Wizards found ways to continuously destroy the Bucks on the glass and feast on second chance points.

However, Saturday night proved to be a different story as it was the Bucks who won the rebounding battle considerably by beating the Wizards in that regard 45-34.

All night long, the Bucks got great team rebounding from all members of their rotation and limiting the likes of Marcin Gortat and Markieff Morris from doing further damage rebounding the ball (Gortat tallied seven rebounds while Morris snared a team-high 10 rebounds on the night).

It wasn’t exclusive to the defensive end, either, as the Bucks hustled for second effort plays offensively and even edged out the Wizards 13-10 in terms of second chance points.

With that kind of commitment and toughness to attack the glass, it was clearly a concerted effort on everyone’s part to boost what has always been a weakness against a team like the Wizards who know how to exploit it more often than not.
