Snell’s bells

Having being switched out of the starting lineup entering Saturday night’s game, Tony Snell rose to the occasion for the Bucks.

Playing just over 32 minutes, Snell scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field (2-of-7 from downtown), had a rebound, an assist, steal and block each and was a team-high +15 for the game.

Despite working his way through his shooting slump, Snell still made his presence known by providing terrific defense, even coming up big with a key block late to snuff out a three-point attempt from Wizards guard Bradley Beal while the Bucks were up by five.

With that, what had been one of the best five-man units in the league in Eric Bledsoe/Snell/Khris Middleton/Giannis Antetokounmpo/John Henson had a collective plus-minus of +17 in the eight minutes they all shared the floor together, per NBA.com/stats.

So while we’re still waiting on a three-point breakout game from Snell, it was good to see him come through in the clutch and build up some confidence that has been clearly lost through this downturn.

The Bucks will continue to add to their winning ways on the road when they next take on the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis on Monday night.
