Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 108-94 loss to Golden State Warriors

The yin and yang of turnovers
Though all of their length might not be utilized as it should be, the Bucks feasted on turnovers committed by the Warriors Friday night. Since Golden State has such an elite defense, the only way to score efficiently against them is in transition.
A combination of sloppy play by the Warriors and energy and effort from Milwaukee led to Golden State turning the ball over 12 times in the game, which directly resulted in 19 points for the Bucks.
There were crucial stretches in the second quarter where the game was almost getting out of hand for Milwaukee, but mistakes by Golden State let Eric Bledsoe and Giannis Antetokounmpo run out and get right back into the game. Even though their opponent’s turnovers helped them stay competitive Friday night, it was ultimately the turnovers the Bucks committed themselves that led to their demise.
Down by single digits late in the fourth quarter, the Bucks continued to waste crucial possessions. When playing the Warriors, giving up the ball is almost equivalent to giving up two points, so taking care of the basketball is a necessity if a team wants the chance to slay the beast.
