Major key for Washington – Dominate the boards

The Wizards have enjoyed a strong competitive edge over the Bucks for much of the last couple of seasons, yet one of the primary sources of that advantage was nowhere to be seen when the teams met in Milwaukee last week.

The Bucks are consistently one of the league’s worst rebounding teams, and Marcin Gortat serves as one of the best examples of a player who has managed to regularly outperform his averages in matchups with Milwaukee.

When the Bucks prevailed against them in the same building recently, Milwaukee owned a rare 45-34 advantage on the glass. The absence of Otto Porter may have proved costly in that regard, and with his return to health, the Wizards will be eager to punish the Bucks.

Attacking the Bucks inside will be key for Washington as they’ll also look to create space for open shots, but nowhere should their advantage over Milwaukee be more obvious than on the glass.
