Malcolm, the man

In his fifth straight game in the starting lineup, Malcolm Brogdon showed out on Sunday and has started to look more comfortable under his new role.

Playing just over 34 minutes, Brogdon scored 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field (1-of-3 from deep), grabbed five boards, recorded an assist, steal and a turnover each and was a -21 for the day.

For much of the game, Brogdon was absolutely stellar making his way to the basket and putting on the right touch, often with his off hand, to get scoring opportunities to fall. Along with that, Brogdon was active on the glass as he has been since being inserted in the starting unit.

However, there was a ‘hold your breath’ moment with Brogdon early on as he appeared to have some sort of leg discomfort late in the first and early in the second quarter. But the reigning Rookie of the Year persevered and showed no further signs of uneasiness as the game wore on (though, it will be something to keep an eye on with another early game on Monday afternoon).

While it was an incredibly disappointing performance for the Bucks as a whole, it was encouraging to see Brogdon rise above and provide a spark early on for the team, even if it went for naught.
