Another Sterling effort

Having solidified his role within the Bucks’ rotation and under Prunty at this point, rookie Sterling Brown flashed his promising skill-set once again on Sunday afternoon against the Bulls.

Getting his name called first from among the team’s reserves, Brown was providing the intangibles by hustling for loose balls and corralling rebounds while struggling to find his shooting legs in his first run of minutes.

But that changed going into the second quarter for Brown as he started to find his rhythm from mid-range as well as knocking down shots from deep too. While Brown didn’t keep up the same scoring pace as the game wore on, he did slam home a nice two-handed alley-oop, coming courtesy of Matthew Dellavedova, midway through the third quarter.

In total, Brown scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field (2-of-3 from downtown), grabbed down six rebounds, snared two steals, handed out an assist and was a +11 in over 27-and-a-half minutes of time.

Considering it was something of a homecoming game since Brown hails from a suburb outside of Chicago, it only added to what ended up being a nice showing from the 22-year-old.

The Bucks will have a quick turnaround as they will return back to Milwaukee to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night in the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
