Shane Larkin

Although Shane Larkin’s name hasn’t necessarily surfaced in trade rumors, there’s a strong sense that the Celtics are looking to make moves and in that scenario, Larkin is the kind of player that could well be expendable.

Behind Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier continues to improve, while even if Marcus Smart gets traded, it seems Boston’s end goal from a deal like that would be to pursue another ball-handler like Lou Williams or Tyreke Evans.

Larkin has played in 37 games for the Celtics this season, and the 25-year-old is a steady presence as an end of rotation point guard. Larkin came back to the NBA after excelling in Spain last year.

For the season to date, Larkin is averaging 3.5 points, 1.2 assists and 1.2 rebounds in just 11.6 minutes per game.
