Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 103-89 win over New York Knicks
Because I said ‘Soe
Building off his solid outing over the weekend, Eric Bledsoe put in another terrific showing for the Bucks against the Knicks last night.
Playing just over 29 minutes on the night, Bledsoe scored 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field (2-of-6 from deep), grabbed down five rebounds, handed out eight assists, recorded two turnovers, had a steal and was a game-high +31 (which stands as a season high in a single game for the 28-year-old too).
Not long after the opening tip, Bledsoe was looking to get out and attack off of the Knicks’ missed shots in transition, blowing by opposing defenders in the process. By locking into that mindset early, Bledsoe was essential in the Bucks finding an early rhythm, especially as Giannis Antetokounmpo struggled out of the gate.
Another benefit in Bledsoe putting on the burners and looking to penetrate the paint for easy scoring opportunities was his ability to make it to the free throw line as he drained all seven of his attempts from the stripe for the game.
It wasn’t a flawless performance, but Bledsoe’s starting to gain steam in regaining his offensive effectiveness after experiencing a wayward few weeks on that end of the floor.
