JET takes off in the second half

Jason Terry had what has become, unfortunately, a typical first half. He played five minutes, shot 0-of-2 from the field and played subpar defense.

Somehow, he turned it all around in the second half, as Terry went 4-of-5 and sunk three from downtown. His timely shot that put the Bucks ahead in the third quarter was followed directly by another from beyond the arc, which stretched the lead to five.

In the fourth quarter, Terry nailed an early mid-range jump shot, and also gave the Bucks their largest lead of the game when he hit his third three, putting the Bucks ahead 87-78 with just over eight minutes remaining.

The showboating veteran appears to be improving as the season progresses. In a surprising development, he has taken on a larger role since Prunty took over the team.

Clearly, Prunty has made it a point to slightly reduce his starters’ minutes. This obviously means more minutes for the bench, but nobody could have predicted that Terry would be along for the ride in this capacity, given his poor performance in the first half of the season.
