Player of the game

Another bright spot on a night when there weren’t many, Saturday night’s player of the game honors go to Bucks two-way player Xavier Munford.

In what has become a rarer sight these days, Munford made the most of his trip up to the Fox Valley, finishing with a game-high 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field (4-of-6 from three), six turnovers, four assists, three rebounds, two steals and was a -6 in his 41 minutes of play.

While he showed early signs of trying to find his footing, Munford grew into finding a rhythm from the second quarter onwards, running in contrast to the Herd’s offensive performance as a whole from that point in the game until the very end.

Munford was rock solid shooting the ball from all levels of the floor, dictating play with the ball in his hands or scoring off of cuts and showing off his bounce on a couple of occasions throughout the night.

Despite standing as one of the few reliable options offensively for the Herd last night, it was good to see Munford in action, doing what he does best.
