Wisconsin Herd’s playoff hopes take big hit with loss to Lakeland Magic
The playoff outlook from here
Even with the loss to the Magic, the Herd still stand in the same position they entered on Friday night at the ninth spot in the East, as do the Magic as the seventh seed.
But the loss obviously separates both teams further as the Herd stand 2.5 games back of their fellow expansion side, who also have a game in hand on the Herd as well. Of course, both teams are still chasing the sixth-seeded Grand Rapids Drive, who the Herd are now 3.5 games back of after last night.
With just six games left in their season, half of them coming against playoff locks to make it out of the East in the Westchester Knicks and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Herd’s playoff hopes aren’t entirely extinguished just yet.
But nothing short of a miracle would have to occur for the Herd to write a fairytale ending to their inaugural season by potentially earning a playoff berth two weeks from now.
