Turn! Turn! Turn! (it over)

The biggest blemish in the Bucks’ performance on Monday night was their lingering sloppy play that largely prevented them from pulling away from the Grizzlies earlier than all fans probably liked in real time.

For the game, the Bucks racked up 18 turnovers, which is tied for the third highest mark they’ve accrued in a single game so far this year.

The biggest culprit in this regard was superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, whose outing was disjointed in many ways despite finishing with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists in about 28 minutes of action.

As a result of their numerous miscues, the Grizzlies feasted on the Bucks’ incomplete possessions as they scored 30 points off turnovers, nearly a third of their 103 points on the night. By comparison, the Grizzlies only recorded nine turnovers, which the Bucks capitalized on by scoring 11 points off of them.

It goes without saying that it’s hopefully not a repeated feature in their play with the level of opposition being as easy as it gets throughout the rest of the week, as these games should be good enough to bank home some much needed victories.
