Positive takeaway
Admittedly, it’s not hard to start in regards to shining a light on the best of the Herd’s performance, considering how well they performed on the offensive end Thursday night.
For starters, the Herd fared incredibly well from beyond the three-point line as they knocked down 13 of their 25 attempts from deep for the night. At 52 percent, that marks the second highest efficiency the Herd have posted from downtown for a single game this year.
Secondly, the shootout, up-tempo pace suited the Herd all night long as they outscored the Red Claws in fast break points 23-6.
While points off turnovers contributed to that as well, considering they racked up 12 steals and many other deflections as well, the Herd were looking to push off numerous Red Claws’ makes, leaving them scrambling to deter them from generating quality, uncontested looks at the basket.
