Return of the Greek

After being sidelined with a sprained ankle last time out, Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to action, doing so in the only way he knows how in the Bucks’ victory over the Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

Logging nearly 38 minutes of action, Antetokounmpo finished with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field (3-of-4 from three), 10 rebounds, three assists as well as three turnovers, one steal and was a +6 for the day.

Any lingering concerns Bucks fans may have held over how Antetokounmpo would perform after picking up his ankle injury quickly washed away as he found his groove in the early going, which lasted all throughout the game.

Although Giannis excelled in the areas that have become synonymous with his game, the two-time All-Star enjoyed a successful day shooting the ball from beyond the arc, tying his season-high in three-point makes for a single game this season.

And as Antetokounmpo saved his best highlights scoring the ball and setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities with plenty of flare, the images of the 23-year-old reaching up and towering over various Spurs players to secure loose balls and rebounds as the game progressed were evidence of a dedication that was needed in that area of the game.

All in all, it was a vital performance all together for Antetokounmpo on Sunday, coming in a winning result to boot. Giannis will surely look to do the same to continue powering the squad and digging them out of the rough patch they have been in for much of their post-All-Star break schedule.
