Bombs away!
Known as one of the more three-point happy teams in the NBA, the Nets did plenty of damage on the Bucks from beyond the arc all night long.
The Nets finished the night shooting 19-of-39 from downtown, making that a 48.7 three-point percentage for the night. By comparison, the Bucks shot 5-of-20 from deep (25 percent).
It was the usual suspects who helped fuel the Nets’ success from beyond the arc, ranging from D’Angelo Russell and Allen Crabbe to Joe Harris, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert. Russell and Crabbe, in particular, came out hunting for three-point looks without conscience and from well beyond the perimeter to boot throughout the game.
Even journeyman forward Quincy Acy, who has gradually stepped out beyond the arc in recent years, hit 3-of-5 from long range.
While the Nets’ efficiency from three came in waves as the game wore on, they repeatedly exploited the Bucks’ aggressive scheme and lackluster engagement on that end of the floor even when their looks weren’t falling, creating the recipe behind their most vital element in their win last night.
