Eric Bledsoe is so hot right now

As the season winds down, Bledsoe just keeps heating up. In four games so far during the crucial month of April, he’s averaging 22.3 points per game on 60.4 percent shooting. He’s shooting 50 percent on threes, and averaging 6.5 assists and 2.0 turnovers. All of those are season bests.

Against the Knicks, the former Kentucky Wildcat poured in 22 points on a hyper-efficient 7-of-9 from the field. Bledsoe also racked up 10 assists, and controlled the game as the fourth quarter came to a close.

In this game against New York that was at times lethargic, Bledsoe was the difference for the Bucks. He led the team in terms of production, but also in fight and spirit. It’s hard to undersell the importance of a guy stepping up like that for this Bucks team.

He is a little older than many other players on the roster, and in position to show some leadership. One can only hope that the youngsters are paying attention, because they are witnessing a veteran player raising his game at the right time.
