Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: April 11 at Philadelphia 76ers
By Adam McGee
Major key for Philadelphia – Keep doing what they’ve been doing
The 76ers are currently carrying a league-best 15-game winning streak, but even more impressive than that feat is the way in which the team has kept it together since Joel Embiid went down injured.
After a freak collision with Markelle Fultz left Philly’s All-Star requiring facial surgery, the 76ers have won seven straight and done so by dominating key battles within the game.
It’s certainly fair to point to the 76ers’ recent weak schedule as a qualifier, but there’s no reason to totally dismiss their current play out of hand.
Since Embiid last stepped foot on the court, the Sixers lead the league in both rebounds and assists per game, while boasting the sixth best offense and third best defense.
It’s a testament to Ben Simmons‘ ability to step up and Philadelphia’s overall strength as a team that they’ve kicked on without their best player, and on Wednesday they should be looking to close the regular season with more of the same.
