2015-16

(Season series: Celtics won 3-1)

Unsurprisingly, in a let-down season that represented the Bucks only time missing the playoffs over the last four years, Milwaukee struggled against Boston in 2015-16.

With Milwaukee’s best players failing to mesh together seamlessly, and the Greg Monroe signing not paying off in the way the organization would have envisaged, the year was a challenge overall.

In keeping with that, Milwaukee’s only win was a particularly hard-fought one. In a February matchup at the Bradley Center, the Bucks used a dominant third quarter showing to build a lead which they then proceeded to cough up by allowing an 18-point deficit in the third quarter. Still, the Bucks just managed to hold on for a one-point win thanks to a late Khris Middleton free throw.

Outside of that, the Celtics got the better of the Bucks by margins of 16 points, 15 points and 5 points. Isaiah Thomas was a thorn in the Bucks’ side throughout the season, averaging 20.5 points per game across the four games.
