(Season series: Bucks won 2-1)

In Jason Kidd‘s first season as head coach, the Bucks shocked the NBA and also got the better of the Boston Celtics.

Not only did the Bucks prevail as 2-1 victors in the season series between the teams, but that was also the last time Milwaukee finished a season ahead of Boston in the standings. While the Bucks’ 41-41 saw them finish in sixth, the Celtics were just one spot back with a record of 40-42.

The Bucks’ only loss against Boston that season came in yet another season finale between the teams, as Milwaukee’s starters all generally logged reduced minutes.

Outside of that, the Bucks picked up a 96-93 home win at the Bradley Center thanks to 26 points from Brandon Knight and a 14-point, 11-rebound outing from Giannis, and they also prevailed 110-101 on the road due to 24 points off the bench from O.J. Mayo.
