Milwaukee Bucks: Recent history with Boston Celtics
By Adam McGee
2013-14
(Season series: Tied at 2-2)
In what was an obvious rebuilding season for both teams, it’s not all that surprising that the Bucks and Celtics split their season series in 2013-14.
That series started out in Boston’s home opener, when 66 of the Bucks’ 105 points came from a bench effort led by Zaza Pachulia that also included Antetokounmpo, Middleton, John Henson and Nate Wolters. To get an even greater sense of just how strange that game was, Vitor Faverani was Boston’s star performer with 12 points and 18 rebounds in the seven-point Bucks win.
Milwaukee also won the next matchup between the teams at the Bradley Center, as the Bucks’ Brandon Knight and O.J. Mayo backcourt combined for 42 points.
The last two games of the season swung in Boston’s favor, with 25 points from Jordan Crawford helping the Celtics to a December win, and a 29-point Jeff Green performance proving decisive in a February matchup.
