6. Opening night win in Boston

For much of this season, the Bucks have been labelled as underachievers and a team that’s wasted an exceptional season from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The fact remains however that finishing with a record of 44-38 is their second best win total in almost two decades. While it’€™s been a tumultuous year for fans, the point stands that winning seasons are hard to come by for Bucks fans and this has been one of the better years in recent history.

While there have certainly been some desperately disappointing losses this season, there have also been some very important, morale boosting wins over talented teams. None of these wins have been more impressive than the win in Boston on opening night. Milwaukee walked away from the contest with a 108-100 win, after Antetokounmpo finished with 37 points and 13 rebounds.

He received ample help that night also, with five Bucks finishing in double figures. Malcolm Brogdon shook off any doubts that his Rookie of the Year campaign was a fluke, finishing with 19 points while Matthew Dellavedova poured in 15 points to help the Bucks over the line. Perhaps more impressive was that star opposing guard Kyrie Irving was held to 17 points on 25 shots as he was unable to gain any momentum in the contest.

This was a morale boosting win in every sense of the word for the Bucks who had entered the season with enormous expectations. They had shown the NBA world that they could match it with the best and the Greek Freak was at the forefront of it all.
