Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 113-107 Game 1 loss to Boston Celtics
Bledsoe’s struggles
Eric Bledsoe played really well for Milwaukee over the last few weeks of the regular season. However, that success did not translate to Game 1 of Bledsoe’s first playoff game in five years.
Bledsoe ultimately fouled out with a stat line of nine points (4-12 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes.
It would be nice to say that the mid-season pickup for Milwaukee played better than his stat line shows, but the truth is that he may have been worse than the numbers. His night was encapsulated by the Rozier three that gave Boston the lead back right before Middleton’s prayer went in.
Bledsoe looked completely lost on that possession and gave little effort to recover to Rozier once he was beaten.
The Bucks showed a lot of fight on Sunday, but no matter how much energy they put forth it doesn’t take much basketball knowledge to realize that if Terry Rozier severely outplays Eric Bledsoe in this series the Bucks’ playoff tenure will be short lived.
