Al Horford: professional basketballer

Twitter came through with better thoughts about Al Horford than I could. Horford, who is often underappreciated, destroyed the Bucks in so many ways on Sunday.

The big man had an incredibly efficient night scoring 24 points on only eight field goal attempts. Just for good measure, he added in 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks. Oh, he also defended Giannis Antetokounmpo about as well as you possibly can when the two were matched up.

The good news for the Bucks is that it will be nearly impossible for Horford to continue to play as well offensively as he did on Sunday. If Horford were to continue to average three points per field goal attempt, the Celtics will win this series comfortably. If a slight offensive regression does happen, though, the Bucks are still faced with the challenge of getting Giannis good looks while guarded by the Celtics’ All-Defensive big man.

Bottom line: Al Horford is a problem.
