Major key for Boston – Regain control of the turnover battle

This particular area obviously acts as a reflection of the effectiveness of the two teams’ defenses from game to game, and considering the Bucks left the Celtics befuddled with their adjustments on Friday, it wasn’t surprising that Boston’s turnover numbers soared.

Brad Stevens’ frustrations will extend beyond that, though, as equally significant was his team’s inability to force the Bucks into the same volume of turnovers they had in the series’ opening two games.

Milwaukee turned the ball over just nine times in Game 3, as opposed to 20 and 15 times in Games 1 and 2 respectively.

It’s fair to say that one feeds the other as the Bucks would have been gifted more chances to attack against a defense that wasn’t set due to the Celtics’ increased giveaways.

Missing star players, the Celtics just don’t have that kind of luxury. If they’re to win the series, they need to regain control of the turnover battle on both ends of the floor.
