Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 104-102 Game 4 win over Boston Celtics
Redemption song
Going from revelations to redemptions, we turn our attention to Jabari Parker, who continued to rebound from his early series form and, more importantly, mindset on Sunday afternoon in the win.
Getting nearly 25 minutes of time, Parker posted 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field (2-of-3 from beyond the arc), seven rebounds, three blocks, two steals, an assist and was a +10 for the game.
Offensively, the Duke product was solid knocking down shots from beyond the perimeter and attacking mismatches in the times he got advantageous switches put on him.
It was on the defensive end where Parker stunned every single Bucks fan all across the world with his hustle, commitment and overall willingness to prop up his squad in what is the single biggest sore spot in his overall package of talents.
Without a doubt, Parker put in his most encouraging showing on that end of the floor throughout his career as he was seen stripping Marcus Morris of the ball with lockdown defense at moments, challenged shots in the paint and tracked down loose rebounds on multiple occasions all throughout the first half.
Unfortunately, that faded in the second half as did Parker’s playing time in that span, which goes hand in hand. It almost certainly feels like an outlier in the large sample we have of Parker watching the ball and losing his man for scores throughout the years, but the 23-year-old’s engagement in Games 3 and 4 have given the Bucks the boost they have sorely needed during this series.
