Milwaukee Bucks Game 5 Preview: April 23 at Boston Celtics
By Adam McGee
Celtic to watch
Marcus Morris certainly isn’t the only Celtic that fits this bill, but having been something of an X-factor in Games 1 and 2, the 28-year-old disappeared into his shell in the Bradley Center.
Strong scoring outbursts from Morris helped the Celtics to see off the Bucks in the first two games, with his tough shot-making a particular standout.
Having averaged 19.5 points and 6.0 rebounds on 45 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent from deep at home, Morris managed to average just 10 points and 4.5 rebounds on 27 percent shooting on the road.
The question heading into Game 5 is whether that’s just an extension of the old NBA trope that role players always play better at home, or whether Morris has lost some form, or the Bucks have figured him out somewhat.
Considering the kind of offensive punch the Celtics are lacking, if the sight of TD Garden doesn’t bring Morris back to his best, it could be an uphill battle for Boston.
