Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 97-86 Game 6 win over Boston Celtics
All the president’s men
Following in Antetokounmpo’s footsteps and rebounding from his forgettable outing in Game 5 earlier in the week was Malcolm Brogdon, who put his presidential seal on the win on Thursday night over the Celtics.
Offensively, Brogdon provided plenty of balance and looked to force the issue. This kept the Celtics’ stingy defense on their toes with leak outs out in the open floor off of misses or turnovers, which were hardly ever utilized.
That energy Brogdon provided translated into production as the reigning Rookie of the Year put home a number of deft finishes at the rim off of strong drives and knocked down a crucial corner three at the 5:23 mark of the fourth quarter to reinforce the Bucks’ six-point lead over Boston.
Brogdon held a similar effectiveness on the defensive end as he shadowed the likes of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum whenever switched on to them throughout the night, making their offensive nights that much tougher in that regard.
All in all, Brogdon posted 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field (1-of-1 from three), six rebounds, two assists and was dead-even in terms of plus-minus.
Even with former president Bill Clinton in attendance on behalf of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, Brogdon exercised his power by giving an executive order for the Bucks’ win last night.
